Asian Salmon
Hello Fellow fisherman and would be chefs this is your charter boat dwelling fishing fanatic Captian Chris here with yet another seafood recipe.This recipe is one of the first in a series of Catching and cooking local with Captain Chris.So were starting out very simple and easy with the first couple of these recipes and well work our way up in complexity.Today were doing a very simple and Awesome Asian glazed Grilled Salmon.First were going to make a simple zesty Asian teriyaki like sauce.This batch should be more than enough to glaze 4 to 6 6ounce salmon fillets or steaks.

  1. combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat slowly.in a separate container mix 1/2 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.when your combined ingredients start to simmer slowly add the mixture of cornstarch and water until it thickens to a glaze.if gets too thick add more pineapple juice.Your Glaze in done!You can sear bake or grill your salmon i prefer grilling on a low open flame BBQ.Some great sides for this would be Grilled Asparagus Grilled or steamed baby bok choy Roasted baby red potatoes would be a great starch.You could also serve your salmon with steamed white rice.Garnish with finely sliced green onions and sesame seeds.This one is going to win you a lot of points with your girlfriend Buddy!Chow and Bon Appetit.
