Seattle Winter king salmon fishing ( winter blackmouth) continues to be very good near Seattle and Edmonds in puget sound with fish being caught daily. It’s still typical late winter weather but nothing a warm coat and a set of rain gear can’t remedy.
The West side and the east side of Whidbey Island have been extemly productive on the tide change while areas to the north of Everett and Hat island have slowed down subsatatiinsly. We have been focusing our efforts on the east and west side of Whidbey Island on the tide change and point no point Washington. We are having great success in these areas trolling with pro troll led flashers and 3.5 inch King Fisher lite spoons about 5 feet off the bottom. There is no doubt you have a big Winter King Salmon on Fishing this way. One minute the rod is calmly in its rod holder and the next minute something from the Deep is trying to yank the rod out of the boat.
These winter kings ( blackmouth) are extremely aggressive feeders and put up great fight. They are also amazing table fare and are excellent eating.
