August 2022 Seattle Fishing Forecast

Edmonds Resident Coho

Resident coho salmon fishing continues to be hot in area 10 out of Edmonds Washington. The coho are hitting hard on the early morning bite on squid and ace high fly needle fish at 25 to 65 feet.   Been pretty easy to find fish to put in the cooler

Area 9 King Salmon

Area 9 Kings are slowing down a bit with the quota ate around 50% we expect it will be open for a couple more weekends at Possession Bar.

Area 10 Edmonds King Salmon

Area 10 Edmonds Kings are starting to show in good numbers and this King fishing should be hot through the end if August.  Kings are the largest of the Salmon we catch in Puget Sound and are prized table fare.

September Coho Salmon Fishing

September ocean run coho numbers are looking outstanding and coho fishing should be awesome September through October!  Limits should be the norm as long as the weather holds.  These trips are booking fast.   These are delicious eating fish and can be prepared many different ways.   Silvers are a lot of fun to catch as they many times will take to the air when fighting the hook with multiple jumps and gymnastics.

Book Your Seattle Salmon Fishing Trips Soon

With the Seattle Fishing Forecast about as good as it gets fishermen need to be booking their trips soon to get the best dates possible.   If you want to talk about multiple dates call Captain Chris to get these on the calendar now.   Many fishermen like to target both Kings and Coho,  however they tend to be in different sections of Puget Sound and to give you the best shot at limits on both you really need to book separate trips for both.
